Burda Construction Corp. is a bondable general contractor and construction manager well known for the restoration of religious and historic buildings, as well as for upscale renovation of residential and commercial properties.

The company was founded in 1982 by Larry Burda, Sr., who built the company on hard work, old world values and integrity. From this foundation Larry, Sr. and Burda Construction have developed a wide range of project experience.

As a full service construction organization, Burda Construction Corp. possesses the in-house ability to take a project through concept, design, construction, occupancy, post-construction, and maintenance, employing both in-house craftsmen and subcontractors. In addition to providing traditional construction service, we offer specialty pre-construction, value engineering and consulting services.

We pride ourselves on the excellent relationships with architects, engineers, conservators and designers developed over the years that enable us to help the clients achieve their restoration or renovation objectives.

Burda Construction Corp. employs some of the finest craftsmen in New York. Our workers are skilled in all aspects of the construction trade including carpentry, masonry and finishing work. Personnel Profiles

Larry Burda, Sr. is a graduate of the College of Design and Construction of the University of Bratislava, Slovak Republic. He served as a Project Manager for various high-rise housing developments in Stuttgart, Germany, before immigrating to the United States. He was employed from 1968 until 1976 as an Architectural Designer and Field Supervisor by the New York Architectural firm of Tudda, Scherer & Zborowski prior to his full time entry into the construction industry.

Jacek Scibor is a graduate of University of Krakow, Poland with a degree in Civil Engineering. Before immigrating to United States, he worked as an Estimating Manager in Poland. Jack has been with Burda Construction since 1988 as a Project Manager and Estimator.

Larry Burda, Jr. is a graduate of Syracuse University and NYU's Real Estate Institute with degrees in Finance, Economics and a Masters in Real Estate Development. He has been with Burda Construction since 1996 as a Project Manager and as of 2007, Larry is also the President.

Yveta Burda received a degree in Economics in the Czech Republic. She completed Drake Business School in New York City and is a graduate of Saint Francis College in Brooklyn Heights, NY with degrees in Accounting and Business Management. Yveta has been Burda Construction's Office Manager since 1994.

Monika Maidhof received a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University and a Business Management Certificate from New York University. Monika joined Burda Construction full time in 2007 as an Assistant Project Manager.
